How do I connect a 3-pin fan to an old M/B?
|
Most of old M/B's do not have a
3-pin connector on the board, therefore, you need
a 3-pin to 4-pin connector kit to connect the fan
to the Power Supply connector.

What is the pin function of the 3-pins fan?

Pin 1 / Black or Green color =>
Ground Pin
Pin 2 / Red color => Power Input Pin
Pin 3 / Yellow, Blue or White color => Fan Speed
